ADVENT & CHRISTMAS
Moravian leadership has been working hard at making
resources available for people during these unique times of Covid!
A website has been created at www.MoravianChristmas.org as a clearinghouse for the sharing of Moravian Advent and Christmas resources.
Advent Devotional Booklet
The bishops of the Moravian Church have created an Advent devotional for use each day throughout Advent.
Advent Blessing Calendar
The Board of World Mission have created an Advent Blessings Calendar that encourages you to count your blessings throughout Advent, while at the same time raising money to help people in need!

(Think Holy Week Readings, but for Advent.) These services will be offered Monday evenings at 6:00 pm throughout Advent and Christmas. Come join us in these
newly-created worship services as we once again hear the story read by different voices from around the Northern and SouthernProvinces. The Zoom link is available at www.moravianchristmas.org.
Virtual Advent Concert
The Glenwood Moravian Trombone Choir will release a virtual Advent Concert on Sunday, December 20. This prerecorded video will feature the trombones playing — socially distanced — but still in perfect harmony to help us all celebrate the season! There will be other Glenwood and Lakeview musicians included in the concert, including a ‘virtual choir’ and small ensembles of members and friends. The video will also include the traditional candlelight service to close, as is the tradition for the AdventConcert.
An offering is being collected to help support local and global mission. The offering will be split to support the long-supported missions of Glenwood & Lakeview Moravian congregations, C-Lamb Diabetes Clinic at the Central Moravian Church in Bluefields, Nicaragua (purchasing testing strips and insulin for patients) and Weekend Food Bag programs for Thoreau & Schenk Elementary Schools, Madison Metropolitan SchoolDistrict. Please send checks to “Glenwood Moravian Church” (725 Gilmore St., Madison, WI 53711) with “Advent Concert Offering” clearly marked in the memo line. One-time online gifts are possible through theMoravian Ministries Foundation with this link: https://mmfa.info/glenwood-moravian-church-donation-form/. Please clearly indicate “Advent Concert Offering” in the notes section. A link will be sent out once thevideo editing is finished for the YouTube premiere.
